Eliza has been a Canary writer since 2019. She’s from a dilapidated seaside town where working class people were led to believe they could never become journalists.
Her path to writing was through activism. Along with other activists, she started researching the corporations that she was opposing, and was taught the skills needed to become not only a journalist, but a researcher, too.
She believes in an anarchist utopia: a world without hierarchy and borders. Her writing covers a diversity of topics, from state repression to fox hunting.
Eliza is co-author and editor of a number of books and reports, including Struggles for Autonomy in Kurdistan and Interviews with Radical Palestinian Women.
